Where is Booloumba Creek located?
Booloumba Creek is located in Conondale National Park, about 2,5 hours north of Brisbane and 1 hour west of Noosa. You can reach Booloumba Creek via Booloumba Creek Road, just south of Kenilworth.
Access is part of the adventure. The road includes several creek crossings, so a high-clearance 4WD is essential. Once you’ve made it, you’ll be rewarded with some secluded campgrounds surrounded by ancient rainforest.

Booloumba Falls Walk: A must-do! A moderate 3km return walk that takes you through dense forest to a stunning waterfall and natural plunge pool. Take care after heavy rainfall, when the waterfall flows heavily, don’t go for a swim.
Gold Mine Walk: A shorter 1.5km trail that explores the area’s old gold mining history.
Conondale Range Great Walk: This is for the serious hikers. A 56km multi-day track winds through lush rainforest, waterfalls and beautiful campsites along the way.
Relax and unwind
If hiking isn’t your thing, this is the perfect spot to do absolutely nothing. Set up your camp chair under the trees, grab a book, and let the sound of the creek do the rest.

Getting to Booloumba Creek and Booloumba Falls is half the fun. You can also explore nearby forest roads, river crossings, and hidden lookouts throughout Conondale National Park.
