Off-Grid Power System (REDARC)
At the heart of this VW Amarok Camper Build is a complete off-grid power system from REDARC, built around the REDARC Manager Alpha 75. Acting as the brain of the entire system, it intelligently manages charging from the vehicle, solar, and external power – ensuring your battery stays topped up wherever you are.
Paired with a 300Ah battery, 3000W inverter, and 400W of solar on the roof, this setup delivers reliable power for everything from daily essentials to higher-demand appliances. All functions are controlled through the Redvision system, giving you one simple interface to monitor battery levels, control lighting, and manage your entire setup.

Volkswagen Amarok TDI600 PanAmericana
The Volkswagen Amarok TDI600 PanAmericana is built around a refined 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel engine delivering 600Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4WD. On the road, it offers a comfortable and composed driving experience, while still delivering the capability needed for towing, carrying load, and tackling off-road terrain.
Combining strong performance with a modern, well-equipped interior and impressive off-road capability, the Amarok is a well-rounded platform for both daily driving and serious touring builds.
For this Super Build, the vehicle was proudly supplied by Southern VW Adelaide, a key partner in the project and an essential part of bringing this Amarok XL setup to life.
Suspension, GVM & Driveline Upgrades
This build runs a full GVM upgrade and suspension package from Pedders Suspension, legally increasing payload to 3,800kg while maintaining stability and ride comfort.
Designed to handle the added weight of a slide-on camper, the setup improves control, handling, and confidence across all terrains and is being Federal-Government approved.

Amarok XL Wheelbase Extension
This build features an XL wheelbase extension from Adaptive Manufacturing designed to improve how the Amarok performs under load.
By extending the chassis, weight is distributed more evenly across the vehicle, reducing rear overhang and improving stability both on and off-road – especially when running a Tommy Campers Slide-On Camper. The result is a more balanced, capable touring platform that feels controlled across everything from highways to corrugations.
